CASE / FINNAIR LOUNGE
The aim of the project was renewal of Finnair’s Business and Platinum Wing lounges. The implementation was carried out in co-operation with the design agency KOKO3. The lounges are located at the non-Schengen part of the Helsinki-Vantaa airport and were renovated completely within the framework of the project. The lounges now offer more space and comfort when waiting for your flight. Northern nature served as a source of inspiration when designing the premises.
In the renewal, TRB was responsible for project management and scheduling. It included, for example, the purchase and testing of non-fixed furniture, installation supervision, and budget calculation during the design, as well as supervision over compliance with the budget. In addition, TRB arranged storage of the goods.
TRB was chosen because the project was to be ordered on turnkey basis, with TRB being responsible for implementation. The schedules related to storage and installation of goods were challenging. Flexible co-operation amidst changing schedules was easy, since project management was entrusted to a single partner instead of dozens. TRB’s involvement in the project also made sure the customer did not have to pay extra costs for project delays due to reasons beyond the customer’s control.
